Can I get my CDL without training or going to school?

As of 2/7/2022, The FMCSA announced a mandate that all drivers applying for a Class A or Class B for the first time must complete ELDT with a registered training provider before they take their skills test.

Do I need a CDL?

Yes, If your vehicle or combination of vehicles weights over 26,001 pounds.

Should I get a Class A or B CDL?

A Class A CDL allows you to drive tractor-trailers and larger combination vehicles, while a Class B CDL is for smaller trucks like dump trucks, buses, and straight trucks.

Do I need a CDL to Hotshot in TX?

Yes, If the GCWR of your truck & trailer exceeds 26,001 pounds.

What is ELDT?

ELDT, is Entry-Level Driver Training. It is the minimum federal standards for training that all new CDL drivers must complete before taking their driving test, ensuring a consistent level of knowledge and safety on the road.

Do I need to take an ELDT course again if I am upgrading my Class B to a Class A CDL?

Yes, according to the 2/7/2022 FMCSA mandate, applicants wanting to upgrade their existing Class B CDL to a Class A are required to take an ELDT course.

What kind of Vehicles do we offer for training?

We have both Class A & Class B vehicles available.

Do you only have Manual or Automatic Vehicles?

We have both Automatic and Manual. The Manuals are 10 speed & 13 speed.

How long are the trailers?

We have 35, 48, and 53 trailers available.

Do I have to test at the DMV?

Yes, we will schedule your appointments for you and meet you at the DMV.

Can I take my test on the same Vehicle I have been training on.

Yes! We always try to have you test on the same vehicle you have been training on. Unless there is an unforeseen circumstance, and that vehicle is out of commission.

Do you offer job placement?

We do not offer job placement. However, we will pass along any job opportunities that businesses inform us of.

What is the price of the 4-week course?
